🐝 Sleezy Beehives
Bring a full beekeeping and apiary management system to your RedM server with Sleezy Beehives.
Built for RedM / VORP, this resource gives players the ability to discover wild hives, collect insects, place and manage their own apiaries, raise different bee and hornet types, produce valuable resources, maintain hive health, and even sell established apiaries to other players.
The system is designed to create an actual long-term profession and economy around beekeeping rather than a simple collect-and-sell activity.

🌲 Wild Beehives
The world includes 61 configured wild hive locations spread throughout the RedM map.
Players can discover and inspect these wild hives while exploring the world.
Wild hives can dynamically contain:
Insects
Honey products
Queen bees
Harvestable resources
Wild hive behavior includes configurable:
Production rates
New insect chances
Insect population
Product amounts
Hive respawn timers
Population loss when no queen is present
Server owners can also create additional wild beehives using the included admin tools.
🐝 Multiple Bee & Hornet Types
Sleezy Beehives supports multiple insect populations, each with their own worker items, queen items, and production output.
Included types:
Basic Bees
Wild Bees
Basic Hornets
Mexican Hornets
Bee colonies can produce honey, while hornet colonies can be configured to produce specialized poison products.
Additional types can be configured by server owners.
👑 Queens & Worker Insects
Apiaries have a complete colony-management system.
Players can manage:
Worker populations
Queen insects
Colony size
Production performance
Hive health
Hive happiness
Running a hive without a queen can negatively affect the colony and lead to insect losses.
The population system supports extremely large colonies while allowing server owners to set their own limits and balancing.
🍯 Production System
Healthy colonies automatically create products over time.
Production varies depending on the condition of the apiary.
Happy colonies can produce significantly more than poorly maintained colonies.
Production can be influenced by:
Colony population
Food levels
Water levels
Cleanliness
Happiness
Health
Queen presence
The system also includes configurable additional production based on the number of insects inside the apiary.
💧 Food & Water Management
Apiaries must be properly maintained.
Players can provide:
Food
Water
Cleaning materials
Medicine
By default, configurable items such as sugar, honeycomb, water, and insect medicine can be used to maintain colonies.
Food, water, and cleanliness gradually decrease as hive cycles progress.
❤️ Hive Health & Happiness
Every apiary can develop differently depending on how well players care for it.
Poor conditions can cause:
Reduced production
Lower happiness
Health loss
Insect deaths
Disease
Colony decline
Properly maintained colonies can recover health over time and provide better production.
🦠 Disease System
Unhealthy colonies have a configurable chance of developing disease.
Disease can lead to additional insect losses if players fail to maintain their apiaries.
Medicine can be used to restore hive condition and keep valuable colonies alive.
🔥 Smoker Mechanics
Players can use a configured smoker item when working with colonies.
The smoker requirement can be enabled or disabled depending on how realistic you want the system to be.
There is also a configurable chance for queen loss during smoking, adding additional risk to hive management.
🫙 Insect Collection
Players can collect insects using the configured beekeeping equipment.
The system supports:
Bug nets
Empty jars
Worker insect jars
Queen insects
Honeycomb
Smoker equipment
The amount of insects required per jar can be adjusted through the configuration.
🌾 Plant Interaction Support
Bee colonies can also influence nearby plant systems.
Configured worker bee types can provide additional plant update points when an apiary is within the configured range.
This allows Sleezy Beehives to integrate naturally into farming-focused RedM economies.
🏠 Player-Owned Apiaries
Players can purchase and place their own hive models in the world.
The included configuration provides multiple apiary model choices.
Default options include 3 different apiary styles, with individual prices and models that can easily be changed.
Players can also:
Rotate their apiary
Remove their apiary
Manage colony contents
Maintain resources
Manage insects and queens
Sell their apiary
Minimum placement spacing prevents players from stacking apiaries directly on top of each other.
💰 Player-to-Player Apiary Sales
Players can sell established apiaries to other players.
The system supports:
Configurable minimum sale prices
Configurable maximum sale prices
Ownership transfer
Seller payments
Saved pending seller payments when necessary
This allows established colonies themselves to become valuable parts of the player economy.
👥 Guest Management
Apiary owners can optionally allow other players to manage their hives.
This makes the system suitable for:
Farms
Ranches
Businesses
Family operations
Shared properties
Job-based beekeeping operations
Guest management can be disabled if your server prefers strict individual ownership.
👔 Optional Job Requirements
Apiary usage can be:
Available to everyone
Restricted to selected jobs
Restricted by minimum job grade
This allows the script to function as either a public activity or a dedicated farming/beekeeping profession.
⏱️ Persistent Production Cycles
Apiaries run on configurable update cycles.
The system includes catch-up cycle handling so hive progression can account for missed update periods while preventing excessive processing.
Server owners can configure:
Update frequency
Maximum catch-up cycles
Resource consumption
Production ranges
Health recovery
Health damage
Population loss
Colony growth
🗺️ Apiary Blips
Players can use the configured apiary command to manage or locate their hive blips.
Blip sprite and scale can be adjusted directly through the configuration.
🛡️ Admin Tools
Sleezy Beehives includes configurable admin ACE permissions.
Included administrative commands allow authorized staff to:
Create wild beehives
Teleport to beehive locations
Manage hive-related server setup
Default ACE:
sleezy.beehives.admin
Command names can be changed in the config.
⚙️ Highly Configurable
Almost every major part of the system can be adjusted, including:
Interaction distance
Prompt controls
Hive spacing
Cooldowns
Admin permissions
Required items
Bee types
Hornet types
Worker items
Queen items

🎮 Native RedM Experience
Player interactions use native RedM controls and hold prompts, while larger apiary management actions use a VORP RDR2-style menu.
This keeps the resource consistent with the western RedM experience rather than relying on a modern-looking interaction system.
